Wright this down | Macrame hanging planters

Posted on: Tuesday, May 21, 2013

I just can't get enough of this 1970's throwback: macrame.
These two hanging plants below are quick renditions of what I hope to one day redo in macrame knot patterns. I tucked away a Macrame tutorial built by Refinery29 over a year ago that explains "how to" in an easy step by step instruction HERE.

I bought my neon cording at Home Depot but click HERE if you'd like to purchase online.
I took this cute Lipstick plant that Jeff bought me and had him drill 3 holes in the plastic pot, tied the cording around the holes and crafted a knot and loop at the top with a couple of feet length in-between to hang low. Super happy about the greenery in my dining.  I'm hoping to get knotting soon and please share if you do the same!

Note when watering: keep cording away from water in porcelain, I tested it for you and I have pink squiggles in my tub. You're welcome.
